Wow indeed. Definitely a big step up from the grad transfer we were supposedly battling Kennesaw State, Stetson and Prairie View for. ESPN lists him as a small forward. Says he had interest from Arizona, Michigan State and Indiana, along with UTEP, USC and Cleveland State. So he went to UTEP because his AAU teammates were there, but got homesick after taking summer classes and wanted out. And Duquesne got him! I think he might be eligible this year if he was only enrolled part-time at UTEP in the summer. Anyone hear anything on his eligiblity status? I can't find anything in the NCAA transfer guidelines that explains transfer eligilbity in this particular scenario, but sounds like he either needs to be enrolled full-time or have started practicing with the team to trigger the usual NCAA transfer rules, i.e, sitting out a year. If anyone knows the rules better than I obviously do, please chime in.
