Nice endorsement from a sports reporter in Detroit:Beyond his stats, Jackson is 6-foot-5 guard who has natural feel for the game. Offensively, he has the ability shoot from mid-range and but he is also very quick off the dribble and can finish strong around the rim. When it comes to rebounding, he may be look as guard but he isn’t afraid to hit the paint and grab rebounds with the big men. On the defensive side of the ball, he has great length and the potential to be lock-down perimeter defender. If that’s not enough, he is also very versatile, seeing that he has shown that he can play point guard, shooting guard or even small forward. Then to top it all off, Jackson, also has great work ethic and a great competitive mindset. As he continues to grow and get better, I believe he has the all the great character qualities to be a team leader for the Dukes down the road, just like he was for the East English Village Prep Bulldogs.Overall, I would have to say this is a great late pick-up for the Duquesne Dukes, and it should benefit both the Dukes and Jackson.
