Boy this team is tough to watch....

No rebounding...
No toughness...
No defense...
Can't hit free throws....
Poor ball movement....

Stevens needs to just stay on the bench or learn to pass...if I see one more ill-advised runner, or forced 18 footer I am going to run on the court and tackle him.

Oh - and I'm pretty sure UMES only used an 8 man rotation....compared to our 10 (at least)...how the heck didn't we overtake the game in the 2nd half?

I still love the Dukes - but gosh - this is pretty pathetic basketball.
I completely disagree agree on the ball movement. I thought they created a ton of open looks making the extra pass today. Sometimes, they hit sometimes they didn't.

Stevens is going to have to grow up fast and find a balance. He has the potential to be an above average A-10 guard if he does. That said, I wouldn't hang the loss on him today. McKoy played his worst game as Duke missing two complete bunnies and taking three jumpers. He makes the bunnies and attacks on the jumpers and we might be looking at a different game. Gill missed 3 WIDE open three's and didn't defend too well. Powell had a bad turnover at a key point. I'll chalk it up to freshman.

We don't have any good shot blockers on this team. I can't even imagine why they won't just go straight up and get in position for a rebound.

This out of conference season was a disaster before today even if it was A LOT more difficult than I imagined it would be. It would have been great to see them carry a little momentum over from a very good performance against UMass Lowell. They didn't get there.
