Can you name 1 player who didn't contribute significantly during their freshman year under Everhart but did contribute in ensuing years. Under his system, you either contribute immediately or find another school.
I don't think Wright has played competitive basketball in a year and a half which indicates to me that the additional weight may not all be muscle.
I would love to see Wright thrive at Duquesne but the last scouting report I had on him (April, 2009) had far more negatives than positives. He only discovered basketball in 8th grade and is athletic but very raw. He has a lot to learn, yet lost a year plus the summer season. He will have little time to adapt to the faster game. He needs to add strength. He needs a rigorous fall program provided by the coaches as well senior leaders to ensure he follows it as well as juggling academics.
BJ would be the closest to fitting the description, but by the end of the year as a freshmen he did get pretty regular minutes. However, most seasons that Ron has been here, there was really a need for people to come in their first year and contribute right away as a result of turnover and running a deep bench. I think this is the first year where we can actually allow a couple of freshmen to take a backseat.  If you look at Ron's history at Duquesne, I think we're in a pretty unique situation this year.

2007 - Most of Nee's remaining players walk,  Sam and Baldanado shot, massive influence of talent and lack of depth following the shooting force all of the freshmen into the lineup
2008- Mitchell and Grote quit. Theiro graduates. Baldonado kicked off 10/40 requires many of the freshmen to play
2009 - Keiron, Tucker and Jackson graduate, Fayne gets sickJames and Woods quit and Kojo turn out to be a b)#*$). Lots of freshmen need to come in and play immediately
2010 - Ajax graduates, Marhold didn't contribute much and was brought along slowly. It'd be unfair to say that he never will.
2011 - Duty graduates, Bolding, Williams are the only contributors that leave. Chase and Lewinson would likely only be role players anyway. We bring in five. 2 will likely enter the rotation, 1 will probably mix in, and 2 will not need to do much but grow.
