Well, realistically, unless you are Coach K or employed by the Steelers, EVERY coach has a leash.

I'm not saying that Ron hasn't done an incredible job... but again, plenty of coaches who have achieved a degree of success have been replaced in favor of the "get to the next level" thing.

I also don't think that he's on the "hot seat" yet, but I think that if this recruiting class has the same turnover as others and that if next year isn't a step forward, he could be.

That's considering it from a purely objective point of view. Don't get me wrong, I like RE and think that what he has done is great. But I reject the premise that this is as good as we can be, that's living in the past. We don't yet know that RE can do anything more than what he already has done - he never made the NCAAs at any other school. Maybe he can, and that'd be great, obviously.

But seriously, isn't the fact that DU can now afford to be a little pickier as far as this goes a testament to how far we've come?
