It's been quiet here while I was away but I suppose lack of drama is a very good thing about this time of year in re Duquesne basketball.
It appears that Duquesne has a quadtuplet of natural point guards in their aresnal who were all very highly acclaimed coming out of HS. The 4 will be competing for minutes at both guard positions. By conference play, I suspect that all will have a pretty good handle and the ability to penetrate (at least that appears a forte of all 4). I personally think that aside from the ability or willingness to play defense, the minutes are going to be allocated based on their ability to shoot the basketball. I think Ron understands the value of the outside shot. It is why Jason Duty got so many minutes. A team with our lack of height needs 2-3 good outside shooters on the court at all times. Outside shooting is not a forte of Damian nor BJ which leaves a hopefully resurected BC and guards who can shoot.
